The CND took part in preparing the first meeting of the Russian-Burkinabe intergovernmental commission

The Russian side is headed by the Minister of Energy of Russia, Sergey Tsivilev. On the eve of the event, a preliminary meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, which was attended by representatives of federal executive authorities and Russian companies, including Dmitry Savelyev, Director General of the Center for Public Diplomacy and Deputy of the State Duma.

The meeting was organizational in nature, discussing promising areas of bilateral interaction between Russia and Burkina Faso and outlining the main steps to strengthen cooperation.

"The development of relations with African states is one of the significant areas of Russia's international interaction. I am confident that the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission will contribute to the expansion of bilateral ties, the implementation of joint projects, and the creation of new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation," Dmitry Savelyev emphasized.
