Russian and Malian Universities Sign Agreement on Training Specialists for Agriculture

The signing ceremony was attended by the heads of both institutions — Rector of the University of Biotechnology Yevgeny Rudoy and Acting Director General of the Malian Institute Aliou Badara Kouyaté, heads of departments for research, international projects and academic mobility, as well as representatives of the Center for Public Diplomacy in Mali.

The rector of the Siberian university noted that the planned educational cooperation with Malian colleagues is timely, in demand, and holds great prospects for development. Among the key areas of joint work, Yevgeny Rudoy highlighted academic mobility programs and research internships, expressing confidence that all educational programs will be mutually beneficial and successful. The rector emphasized that the Republic of Mali is an important, reliable and promising partner of Russia on the African continent, and that direct cooperation between the universities will contribute to the development of science, education and culture in both countries.

In turn, the Acting Director General of the Malian institute described the signed agreement as a very important milestone for the republic, reflecting the spirit of friendship between Russia and Mali. Aliou Badara Kouyaté expressed hope that the implementation of this document would promote not only sustainable development of relations between the universities but also strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

Specialists from the Center for Public Diplomacy also emphasize that the signing of this partnership agreement between the universities is an important step for Russian-Malian cooperation in higher education and science. The educational opportunities of one of Russia’s leading agricultural universities can make a significant contribution to addressing the acute shortage of qualified personnel currently facing Mali. Ahead lie numerous joint educational and research projects, internship and exchange programs between the University of Biotechnology and the Rural Polytechnic Institute, strengthening direct interuniversity ties.
