The exhibition seeks to answer the main question: what should Moscow of the near future look like? Architects, urban planners, and designers present concepts for new districts, residential quarters, public spaces, and transportation solutions. The focus is on ecology, human comfort, and moving away from outdated approaches of massive standardized development.
The display features scale models, visualizations, digital models, and research projects. Visitors can see what new areas beyond the Moscow Ring Road might look like, how embankments could be transformed, what solutions are proposed for “sleeping” residential districts, and how nature can be integrated into the urban environment.
What makes it especially interesting is that many of the projects are already at the discussion stage or in early implementation. The exhibition offers a chance to look behind the scenes at how the image of the city we are going to live in is being shaped.
“Architecture 2.0” is not only about beautiful visuals, but also about a serious conversation on what a modern metropolis should be: comfortable, human-centered, and environmentally friendly.
The exhibition runs until June 14, 2026. If you are interested in architecture, urban studies, or simply in what Moscow will look like tomorrow, this is one of the best options on the current cultural calendar. Sources: Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA).
